A Message from the Urban Garden Market

Here
we are at the end of the produce season. October 19 is the last day for
the 2013 Saturday Market on LWW and next Wednesday afternoon October 23 will be the
final Market at the Western Avenue location.

There still are
tomatoes (red and green), onions, potatoes, all kinds of squash,
pumpkins, cabbage, apples, different kinds of peppers, greens, honey,
popcorn, sweet treats, BBQ and more.
Jean will be giving away fresh basil on Saturday.
On
Saturday, Lissette Santana, an educator from the Health Department,
will offer a cooking demonstration on how to make your own salsa using
many of the end-of-the-season vegetables.
If
you have any suggestions for next year, please let us know soon. The
vendors and Market Management Team are meeting on Oct. 26th to evaluate
this year and talk about ideas for next season.  We would greatly appreciate any feedback you would like to give us. Send us an email, urbangardenmarket@gmail.com or call 574-968-7471.
