Economic Justice

The Community Forum for Economic Justice believes that an economy should enable everyone to obtain a living standard sufficient to sustain life in dignity. We hold educational meetings to analyze whether or not our economy is achieving that goal. We advocate for policies to promote it, such as a living wage, support for trade unions, and requirements that companies receiving tax abatements pay their workers decent wages and benefits. And we do service work to help achieve it, such as volunteering with the VITA program, which does free tax preparation for low- and moderate-income taxpayers.
